As I mentioned in show 60, last week marked one year worth of VirginWorlds podcasts. I don't look at the numbers as closely as I used to, but I figured I'd give you a little glimpse into the last year of podcasts. Also, I guess I'm proud of these numbers. The amazing thing to me is that mankind spent around 100,000 hours over the last year listening to me blather on and on about a relatively small sub-set of the video gaming world. Boggles the mind doesn't it? Thanks for doing so, it is appreciated. |

The numbers reflect the quality and polish of the best podcast on the mmo genre out there, you should be justly proud of the numbers, your podcast is terrific

Your podcast is great and those are fantastic numbers! If I really want to be on top of the MMO genre I know that I have to listen ot the VirginWorlds podcast! It is pretty much the best one stop place for news in a easy presentable format.

The quality of your show is evident week after week. I listen to a couple of gaming podcasts at work and sample new ones frequently. Whether it is the quality or the content, most of them are really bad and hard to listen to. I have my own little niche podcast and I can affirm that it isn't easy to produce something week after week. Great shows as always.

When I started listening to this podcast, I went back from show #1 - Even if the news were old stuff, the rest of the show is worth it. I think you have one of the best show out there - I don't listen to many podcast, but yours is the only one that keeps me coming back for more !
Congratulation for this last year of podcasting, it's a great achievement, and alot of fun for me =D

Interesting stats and congrats on leading the field in "MMO genre News" podcasting.
Let's have a go at estimating the number of people that would be interested in the podcast.
In USA there are probably 2m people who play most MMOs that come out. In Europe similar, but some are not English-speakers, so let's add 1m. For the rest of the English-speaking world, perhaps another 0.5m?
So that's 3.5m so far.
Of these there are perhaps only 10% that are into listening to podcasts, either because they are a bit behind the times or because there isn't a window in their life for them to be listening in this way.
That's 350k.
So, the question is, is there a value in terms of advertising and sponsorship, were you to gain this 350k listenership?
