Nice Vanguard music in the background in the beginning..
Also, very excited about the new podcasts! I need more MMO news podcasts to listen to so I'm really looking forward to more from Virgin Worlds!

Great strategy, Brent, on being the mountain going to Mohammed. I hope it increases the profile of the show amongst people who are more players than listeners.
I had a second point which was simply that I get a feeling of unease when I hear about these "virtual economies", where people are earning $20,000 a month basically for playing a game. Essentially they are being "employed" by the games companies to do this in this model, as it is they that are parting with the cash to fund this, however indirectly this might be. Who cares about the tax situation, although I guess one would hope that these people are paying tax on this income, but to me it has a somewhat sinister feel to it. Basically I feel that the virtual world economy provider is preying on people who have more money than sense. I guess you could say the same about a lot of things, but as these games expand exponentially over the next decade - Project Entropia and Second Life are absolutely dire in terms of their creativity imho - it will be due to human weakness rather than their own business acumen. It's almost a new gambling phenomenon.
It's not there yet, but take things forward a few years and envisage what these "games" are going to become - basically dens of what is worst on this earth, with no proper policing (as you say, Brent, it's not the responsibility of the game owner) and where programmers will programme anything just to earn themselves more Euros (btw, when is the USA going to adopt the Euro?:))

Some time after the UK and Canada take the plunge.
