'WoW podcast round table' by darrenl Submitted on 2006-11-27 15:00:56 CST Question...anyone else think it was weird to hear Ryan on a WoW podcast? Thought he didn't really like the concept that is WoW. When i first heard he was on it, I kinda went "uh-ohh", but it turned out to be a great show.
Great show Brent...I look forward to this every Monday. Hope you feel better soon.

'WoW Roundtable' by Brent Submitted on 2006-11-27 18:37:34 CST I'm glad you liked the roundtable. It was fun to do, especially since I didn't have to edit all those tracks after we recorded it. That roundtable isn't going to be every week of course, though I'm sure we'll do it again in the future since it went well and turned out a good show for the WoW Podcast.
'To the question you asked.' by Iccanui Submitted on 2006-11-29 04:28:50 CST You asked if we raid cause its fun to work with 70 people or its end game content.
In part i feel it is cause the people that do that enjoy pulling people together at that level and shepard them if you will, to a goal and its also just cause its the end game meal thats put before them and they will of course eat it. I dont see raiding going away in the near future and thats fine. I like it cause as a former hardcore MMO player ( ie, 5 hours a night and weekends more ) it simply gave me something to do when there is nothing else to do ( got time sink? ), keeping me from otherwise needing to move on from a game and the friends i made. This is truly what a good MMO is about, hence why EQ2/EQ1 makes grouping so important and why WoW is destined to have a much shorter life on a per person basis. I also like that these people have a place to go and let the more casual gamer just explore and have fun without being run over by droves of people. Spreads it out a little bit.
Anyway, that is my quick thoughta on your question.
Thnx for another great show. I am however disapointed that you havent yet reviews Shot Online: The Field and Beyond. I mean you call yourself a MMO podcast. Phh.
Peace.
'good points' by Brent Submitted on 2006-11-29 13:13:33 CST I agree with your comment on the lifespan of WoW for the avergae player being shorter than that of say EQ1. Good observation. In fact, that's brilliant.
Shot Online... uh, yeah I'll get right on that. :)
'Golf game' by Sente Submitted on 2006-11-29 17:33:20 CST Shot online - another Asian multiplayer golf game...(!)

'Spare Yubos - who knows, maybe one day, they will spare your life' by Psyik Submitted on 2006-11-30 12:57:26 CST Russia's Goblin LOTR spoof game with crush all puny American MMOs with it's singleplayer comedy.
Btw, what ever happened between you and Ryzom, Brent? One week you seemed to be giving it praise after praise, then the next you just kind of dropped it with a "meh" and moved onto the next topic. I mean, I have completely MMO ADD, but this is managing to hold my attention.
'Eve Bookmark Nerfs - Warp to 0' by Maess Submitted on 2006-12-06 16:12:07 CST As you may know they introduced warp to 0 distance in the revelations patch. So you can use warp to 0 to get to the stargate rather than a book mark. This does, however, make auto pilot pretty useless as it warps you to 15Km from the stargate.
