Obiwan - So what I told you was true... from a certain point of view.
Luke - No.
Obiwan- What?

AHAHAHHAHAHHA great stuff. Looking forward to the future Star Wars MMO.
Great jaab, Jaan!

Wonderful memories of a wonderful game. Not a big fan of the NGE, but had some great fun before it. Verant (like Looking Glass) is one of those developers I miss. Speaking of Looking Glass, any chance you'll cover the Thief series of games in the future?

Thanks for the entertaining show!

I had a blast chatting about my SWG memories on this podcast, big thanks again to Jonathan.

I loved the show, especially the account of your kids first Star Wars viewing. I'm planning on introducing my children this week, but where to start Original trilogy or child friendly new trilogy?

Can't wait for part 2!

I always loved your concept of this show and how it reminisces about games.

I'm actually playing SWG right now, I'm having fun with the SWG Trading card game too. I played it right after NGE and had to stop because too much negativity around it and I needed help from the forums but got too much of haters still playing.

Now that people see another KotOR MMO coming I guess there not worried about SWG stopping another SW MMO coming out. Because it is, I admit I will go to the new one but yeah not taking anything away from any good memories from SWG.

One thing about SWG is imo it was way ahead of its time, especially with the huge player made real time non instance working cities you can make, and it is freaky when you go visit the ones that were made a long time ago and all the items you see decorating them, like long lost ghost towns. That is actually pretty cool in a weird sort of spooky way. All that stuff time spent to get those items and towns built, they are still there.

My old house and all its stuff was still there too, I thought it was going to be torn down but I guess not.

And the venders you can buy Role playing items and events from, I never saw that in any other game.

And it having land and space in one game, now that is awesome, and many different planets and all the badges you can earn for exploration and stuff.

I'm going to play the story line this time around.

Lots of respect to the elders of SWG.

That statue of Felicia is 10ft tall...not 8. I'm shocked and appalled at the inaccuracy of your reporting sir!

'Alas...' by Jonathan

Ah, apologies, Darren.. Tis true... when I was killed by the Felicia statue I only had time to register "watch-that-statue-what-statue-splat". The 8-foot assumption was only part of a last moment estimation before I found myself respawned in an empty warehouse somewhere in Iowa.

Thanks to everyone for the great comments! I had a great time with this episode and I can't wait to finish part 2! :)

John was an awesome guest host. I always love hearing about someones first MMO experience.
Looking foward to part 2.

Jonathan which server do you play on and what is your main character? Is there much difference between the servers? Love the show. Thanks.
