Spouse Aggro Host: Beau and Leala Turkey On Spouse Aggro hosts Beau and Leala Turkey take you through the world of MMO's. A little humor, a bit of marital bliss, and plenty of nerd chatter. Spouse Aggro is part of the VirginWorlds MMO Podcast collective found at http://www.virginworlds.com
* Lead Designer SILIUS
gives us so much cool info
and addresses a ton of concerns! Luper tries her hardest to get hired
by SOE while Beau is just dumbfounded because while he was doing this
interview, he thought of nothing but the ANT MOUNTS!!!! (And they look SWEET.)
We
recorded this while people were logging in and loading the new patch,
and it was exciting to watch the forums as we talked as they loaded up
with praise for da' patch! There were a few issues, but overall the
patch went off without a problem! Congrats dev's!
'Great Show, Great Interview' by Talyn Submitted on 2008-05-30 18:33:15 CST Wow this was good stuff! Good to hear Silius is human too! =D
Sounds like good things are finally coming to Vanguard, they're slowly but surely putting all together.
Also good that you posted this up on the MMORPG.com forums, Beau, but those guys aren't being kind to Luper... :(
Your AA segment was funny though. Not being an EQ2 player, I also assumed you were talking about anti-aliasing while Luper and Silius took it off in the EQ2 Alternate Advancement direction. Looking forward to AA (actually both kinds!) being implemented so I can take even nicer looking screenshots.
'Great Job with the interviews!' by Fellmage Submitted on 2008-06-02 11:38:43 CST You guys are really kicking ass with these interviews. It's definitely a great way for the developers to get the information out to the community. I will be making some links to the show, because I know a lot of people have been wanting to know this information, but were not aware of the podcast.
On a less serious note, I have to say that as good as the episodes have been recently, the song selection (this episode in particular) have been very difficult to bear. If this isn't fixed immediately, I'm quitting the game!
'Wow!' by Belepheriel Submitted on 2008-06-02 13:03:12 CST This podcast is incredible! Lots of info to process. It's nice to know about some of the stuff coming in the future. The economy IMO, will get a big boost once we get more players in game. Young players will get good gear once crafter begin pricing the gear to fit the market. Crafters will start making money once those items leave the shelves. As a crafter, I can wait a while for the market to readjust and be ready to cater to my new customers!
'Truly An Honor' by Pyros Submitted on 2008-06-02 23:40:35 CST I have listened to VoV since the Troy and Karen days and was deeply saddened to hear that they were stepping down. I never thought that anyone could possess the enthusiasm that emanated from them both. Their depature was definitely a critical loss for podcasting and for the community as a whole.
With that being said, I must commend Beau and Luper for not only taking over the reins but bringing both of their unique perspectives to the podcast. I find their witty banter both engaging and thought-provoking. I particularly like the dynamic that is created by having a seasoned (understatement) raider coupled with a casual player who is immersed in the roleplaying aspect of the game. I appreciate that they both have different opinions and each is not afraid to voice them whether it be with each other or with a developer.
So it is with great honor that I have decided to be a sponsor for the Voyages of Vanguard. It is the least I can do for such a dynamic duo!
And to you both, Luper and Beau, keep your natural rapport going and continue to deliver your exemplary podcasts to our community.
You two are truly the Voice of Vanguard!
Listening with attentive ear,
Pyros
'Thanks, thank you and thanx!' by Beauturkey Submitted on 2008-06-03 13:10:25 CST Thanks Pyros, we will give a shout out on the show! As well as give out your home address and income!
And social security number.
I keed.
Thank you So much!

'But kind sir...' by Pyros Submitted on 2008-06-03 22:24:20 CST I know not of what you speak...my home is Telon and I have been known to earn a copper or two in my travels but I cannot fathom a number that makes me 'socially secure' ?!?
(I'm IMMERSED ;-)
'Yay for sponsor! ' by Luper Submitted on 2008-06-04 00:22:52 CST Pyros, that is fabulous! Thanks so much. ^_^

'Amazing, cudos to both of you and Silius' by Leava Submitted on 2008-06-05 05:16:49 CST This is hands down one of the best gaming podcasts I've listened to, on virgin worlds or elsewhere. It was a great testament to both of you that you were able to convince Silius to join on the podcast, and a great credit to him and his love of the game he's working to build that he agreed. It was a rare moment when gaming podcasting actually mirrored what the games are themselves: an engaging, sometimes contentious, but always respectful, conversation between players and developers. How plastic and canned BlizzCasts look by comparison...
Grats guys on setting a new standard for gamer interviews of developers.
