'I love your show so...' by FarSpace Submitted on 2008-08-21 00:39:39 CST I figured I would post a some thoughts :)
I never played WoW, there were just allot of things I considered not so good in my opinion, But WAR is kind of what I finally wanted in a Fantasy MMO but not lame like WoW. And besides one time when I considered WoW I just went to EQII instead and SWG at that time.
Although I'm not going to play WAR either since other games are still better to me, like Tabula Rasa and EVE. And CoH is pretty fun.
Also SWG is like WoW as maybe KotOR Online is WAR, and since I like Sci-Fi better I might just also play KotOR Online when it comes out though.
I know I made little sense, but if anyone one does understand what I'm saying IMO you are pretty smart :)
'WAR Show' by Mogda Submitted on 2008-08-21 08:16:25 CST Shawn - Public Quests are like Control Points in TR, except they have much better rewards and you build influence. But, like CPs, they're a lot of fun, and they really help break up the monotony of leveling.
At this point I think that I'll be playing a beer drinking, grudge holding, butt kicking Ironbreaker. See you greenskins on the battlefield!
'Ya know' by Shawn Submitted on 2008-08-21 19:19:43 CST I was actually going to make that comparison with CPs, but forgot :) If that's how it is though, holy crap, that will be amazing.
'WAR' by FarSpace Submitted on 2008-08-22 00:08:21 CST It was fun to hear about WAR
Now that I'm looking at it even more, WAR looks pretty good to me, better then WoW ever did and I never really thought of Conan as a game to play, I was happy with the comics and movies.
Yeah WAR being an actual war if I got that right sounds good too, & the characters look good, I would still wait 7 months to play it like any thing else, especially to wait for them to get the war stuff down. I'm sure it will take a little while to get that tactical stuff and rewards right.
The only reason I would have had ever played WoW was to play with so many other people but then the servers of just as small as any other game so not sure even about that, maybe if friends I knew were playing.
But I can see my brother finally wanting to play WAR, I hope they got a good trial period, he has to try games out 1st.
