The first comment for this podcast over at Massively is...
'Have I really had that useless collectors box sit on my self for a whole year now, tonight? I'm going home and burning it, unless anyone here wants it?'
I think we are over slagging off Conan and ready to get positive about it, but my god Shawn this episode was a complete snooze fest. Couldn't you of asked at least 1 interesting question?, 20 seconds on the official forums could have armed you with material. I know Massively feels the need to kiss upto the industry as much as possible but surely you realise you need to entertain your audience as well.

so conan has been kicking ass for me. i will defend it like a loyal fool. as i remind myself im paying THEM to play their game, not the other way around... so with that in mind i was a bit disappointed in this episode. it was very short and here i thought token was complaining that the questions werent "aggresive" enough etc, but yeah i guess there just werent any questions really, lol.
Shawn, your a great guy i dig all the podcasts your involved in, maybe this one was throw together kinda quick because all the news that happened right around the anniversary.
one question i was dying to know the answer to is the "6 months" to get your extra character slot. i was hoping he was going to ask as it seemed like such a logical question after they answered that there was an extra slot available, is that consecutive or total? if its consecutive thats BS because i would have played straight through all year if the bugs werent crushing my personal experience, lol.
anyways, im blown away at the amount of people that arent playing AoC right now. its a really fun game with a style/atmosphere and aesthetic that does NOT exist anywhere else.
just funny that theres never any conan podcasts or much publicity. i used to love listening to one older one thats now defunct while playing. in fact i do that with many MMOs. pop on the podcast in the background while playing the game. I was really excited to do that tonight with this cast and by the time i booted up and got logged in, it was over, lol...
BOO HISS!!!
thats alright, TTA is badass!!!

but the community on the PvP servers was truly horrible.
I consider myself pretty thick skinned. Seriously. I take the nastiest jokes in stride and I bet I could make a salior blush with the cuss words I've been known to blurt out (only when really mad or hurt, mind you).
But the AoC community seems truly vile. We're talking topics that would make you ill kind of vile going on in chat all the time.
If I were conducting this interview, I think I would ask the "Community" manager why chat topics that include rape, discrimination, and child molestation are condoned or even tolerated on their servers.
Don't belive me? Log into Tyranny on any give night and watch the general chat. I was horrified.
Anyway, thats why I stopped playing AoC. I loved the PvP, loved the game mechanics, loved the world, loved the graphics. The community should be round up and shot.

Can be very 'interesting' :P But I had the best experiences on the RP servers both Cimmeria-PvP and Wiccana-PvE the best is Wiccana but then you don't have constant PvP.

We tried something a little different with this one, but you guys are right, and actually I'm flattered that you picked up on the fact that it wasn't questions I'd normally ask. I won't make that mistake again though because I agree with you.
