Great, another podcast about someone talking about themselves for an hour. Brent really needs to clean up these crapcasts.

I thoroughly enjoyed this show. The stories about the stalker ex and the leap to table-top were compelling. Then I was in shock listening to the interview with the guy trash talking Blizzards lack of innovation, best interview I have heard in a long while. I hope it's not too long before the next show.

Sorry, I thought again I would try to stomach this podcast because nobody else posted a cast today. This just isn't any good and if you say it is then you must be either a friend, long time Virgin Worlds listener, or very lonely.

I have to say again... The ego on this woman is insane! You couldn't possibly admit that maybe you were wrong and the cast isn't good. You actually have the nerve to blame the listeners for your content. Don't act like we are the ones who are wrong! You get a ton of negative feedback on this cast and you choose to blow it off like listeners are crazy.

I have to say it again... This is the perfect cast for YOUR friends and family. It isn't enough good content for a real podcast. Your friends and the Virgin Worlds "club" will tell you that it's interesting.

I 100% agree with Enivid. This cast isn't enough to be interesting to anyone but your friends and family. It's not an insult. It's just not enough for a quality cast.

I respect others opinion & whoever is interested, here is mine.

This podcast is Fun, lively, has sparkling personality, great commentary with a friendly atmosphere. Lots of good info that imo me being an MMO player, I enjoy listening to, too.

I like this podcast, I guess that makes me a Lonely person who is friendly with Lady Sinaea and is a long time VirginWorlds listener.

I can live with that :)

You have got to rate a podcast on whether or not it accomplished it's goals. I feel that this podcast promised a very personal monologue from a female gamer and that's exactly what I got, with a great interview at the end.

'Why do we want to know?' by telstar
Submitted on 2008-11-29 18:33:50 CST
Do we really want to know that her dad doesn't have the common sense to not employ her x-husband who is stalking her. This is not on anyone's need to know list. This is something that should be taken up with the dad, the authorities and in therapy.

Her lengthy stories about how she is so attractive to the opposite sex and can't have friends because they all want to date her is just so annoying. Even if you think all your friends want to date you, you don't say it for the world to hear on a podcast. Again, you completely insulted this military friend of yours. Just leave him alone for pete's sake.

Don't encourage her or she will make another cast. Farscape, I don't think you have ever had a mean word to say about any cast - I appreciate and respect you for that but don't you think this podcast is self indulgent?

I think you might be overdoing Telstar, you're not -required- to like NYAG, however if people enjoy the cast, the more power to them. I'll even admit that I don't see eye to eye with her on some her comments, however she has the right to do so, and I highly doubt you can make it go away just by constantly repeating that you dislike it.

That said, if you really don't want to hear it, don't listen to it. Okay, we heard you the first time, you don't like it, that's fine, but jumping out every chance you get to bash it and make it seem so painfully wrong, makes you seem like the bad guy here.

The people can decide what they do and do not like, if she's not going to be heard, it's going to be because we stopped listening.

If someone thinks Lady Sinaea said something wrong, I'm sure you have good reason and could make a good case why it could be considered to be wrong, but I still do not think anything was wrong and here is a story why i'm thinking this way.

I have 2 best friends I knew for 15 yrs and they got married. We'll call them Jack and Jill. And all of Jacks buddies totally hit on Jill's girl friend, except me of course :)

And he tells me how embarrassing it is for him and that he is so glad that at least his best friend (me) had the sense not to ever hit on his wife's girl friend.

Jill's friend only ever JUST acted in nice friendly ways with all of Jacks friends. And Jacks friends tried to get all over her like she was desperate and easy or something.

I'm glad I never did that and that is one of the reasons I can be normal friends with the girl, I can watch TV with her on a couch or whatever and everything is cool. She would not be that close with the other guys because she can't trust them to not make butt heads of them self's I guess.

Jill's friend has the rite to say when someone is doing something to her she does not care for, like Jill's friend did. Then my male friend told his buddies, and now his buddies have a chance to not make fools of them self's. After all, this woman I'm talking about has some respect for her self.

Personally I always heard all kinds of stories from women about men, and I actually learned from it.

So to me it is a good thing.

Now this story has nothing to do with this podcast except I wanted to let people know why I would not have a problem with women talking about men.

P.S. I was FarScape in EVE but did not use FarSpace because you know how EVE is? haha you can make the wrong move in EVe and be marked for life, so I did not use my favorite online name farSpace, so you were close anyways haha :)

P.S.S. Some of the greatest most successful talk show hosts don't just have all good e-mails and comments sent in, so hears to Lady Sinaea's success, but I'm still not going to lie, I do like everything in the show my self. So there you go. :)

First of all I think Congratulations are in order. I wish you two the best of luck together :D

Now to all those that think this is a crappy podcast; I couldn't disagree more.
I have listened to this podcasts 4 episodes and I always thought they did what they were suposed to do. Give a perspective on a female point of view concerning MMO's and stuff.
And no, it's not because i'm a long term listener on Virginworlds. I only recently started to listen to all the podcasts and I don't know Lady Sinaea in real life. But I just love the way she sees things and how she thinks about things.

Anyways, I hope to hear another episode soon and again best of luck with your marriage :D

P.S.: Sorry if i messed up gram or vocab, English isn't my native language :D

I agree with some of things Telstar brings up, however, Lady Sinaea is certainly within her right to divulge the innermost details of her life over the internet should she choose to do so... but I guess we aren't really arguing about that.

There were a few female gamers in my social circle in college that lived transparent lifestyles like this, which was sort of odd considering how much they groaned about the attention they received from guys. But I can't really blame them. If I had a podcast like this and received the same kind of positive feedback, I think I'd want to keep doing it.

I wonder how this kind of podcast would be received if it was from a guy.

I've wondered about how this kind of show would be received if it were from a guy and to be honest I think I think he'd sound a bit gay. The fascination wouldn't be there anyway it would just be weird.

Scott Johnson often divulges quite personal stories to shock his co-hosts, many of them self defecating. I think that's the best way a guy can tackle that sort of stuff.

You think he would sound "a bit gay"? I am not sure I understand what you mean.

Did you mean self deprecating? I certainly hope that Mr. Johnson isn't "self defecating" during his show, but there's no doubt it would shock his co-hosts.

I don't know why you are picking my response apart I was just chiming in..

urban dictionary: Self defecation is the act of being able to make fun and/or light of yourself in an effort toward 'humanizing' yourself. Actually that is the definition of 'self deprecation' however self defecation is self deprecation BUT to the 'Nth' degree.

A bit gay: Men are not usually the types to sit around talking about their lives and their feelings for an hour without relating it directly to a sports team or a video game or something.

So what you guys are saying is that women would more likely understand this podcast right?

Most men maybe but us men around here are much more intelectual. oh yes :)

Wether you dissagree or agree whith what is said I think we know how to understand one way or the other, it must be even though there are not as many women gamers, there are plenty and we play games with women, maybe all men should try playing some games with women.

P.S.S. Lady Sinaea being such a cool person I figure her husband is pretty cool too, and so they want to do a podcast together I personally think it would be really really awesome. All the cool women I know have awesome boyfriends or husbands. It stands to reason I guess : ) I'd love to here what he has to say about life etc... :)

'Sorry, I've been working on trying to make more sense...' by FarSpace
Submitted on 2008-12-02 00:51:47 CST
Sorry, I've been working on trying to make more sense but sometimes it just doesn't work out.

Oh yes, well you know, my brain is strange sometimes and makes no sense :)

So to try and clarify, I was just asking that as a question and not actually saying it as a fact.

But the reason I kind of thought it was possible was that men do not usually talk about these particular things so maybe since woman might more likely say what Lady Sinaea was saying then women would more likely understand.

But then I'm saying that the men on this website can understand those things better because we play games with women and can relate to them better because of it.

I'm just putting out my best guess.

And this "Most men maybe but us men around here are much more intellectual. Oh yes :)" just after a smacked my skull into the poll holding up the house down in the basement here, lol. I can see it makes no sense what so ever.

The main thing is I'm not saying anything in a bad or anything, no one said anything wrong per say. I was just conversing, I do realize I'm not correct allot of the time. I'll try to make my comments have more sense next time.

So like, all the trolls on this msgboard need to gtfo. Especially telstar. Your comment about her having a big ego is pathetic. Ever heard of Bill O'Reilly? How about Howard Stern? Think they have big egos? That is what makes them interesting to listen to, moron. Wow, gtfo and get a life. Or at least get something better to do than talk trash about someone else's podcast. Read the following quote by Teddy Roosevelt:

"It behooves every man to remember that the work of the critic is of altogether secondary importance, and that, in the end, progress is accomplished by the man who does things."
