No Prisoners, No Mercy Host: Julie Whitefeather & Frances Kosac There comes a time, friends, when your favorite MMO ceases to sparkle, when even new videogames lose their luster, and the computer room becomes a prison; and all that is left are two gamers (who happen to be nuns) with a very large axe to grind. Come join Julie Whitefeather and Frances Kosac as they go to War - and along the way discuss the events of the week in the MMO industry.

No Prisoners, No Mercy - Show 43Wed, 2 Sep 2009 21:14:00 GMT [download/play]
Welcome to show 43!
Join us for an hour and a half of laughter, discussion and fun on No Prisoners, No Mercy show number 43. This week Fran and I talk about the Activision/Blizzard's big news, after which we have a double header for you. First we will get a chance to meet the real Total Biscuit from Wcradio. Next we have Colin Dwan, project manager for Fallen Earth to talk to us about the game that is about to release.
'TB' by Jmo Submitted on 2009-09-03 15:54:13 CST It was good hearing TotalBiscuit in a normal tone and down to earth instead of his "Shock Jock" mode. He seems like a good guy, and it's sad to hear that the immigration issue is STILL not reconciled. I remember hearing about it last year when it first happened. It's a shame that it keeps getting screwed up.
As for Cataclysm, I'm excited even if it is a year or more away. Blizzard never fails to amaze me with what they come up with.
Great show as always Sisters!
'About the Cataclysm info.' by BurntSushi Submitted on 2009-09-03 16:12:47 CST I heard the reason for talking about the expansion was due to the fact that information was leaked without Blizzard's consent, so they decided to get the information out there before it became known to the masses.
Are you ladies playing Champions Online? If you are not, then you are WRONG! Come play wif me pwetty pwease.
'Generic Post Title' by Julie Submitted on 2009-09-03 17:39:46 CST @ JMO: Total Biscuit seemed like a nice guy to us as well...and he thoroughly explained his "shock jock" radio persona.
@ BurntSushi: Money to pay for mmo subscriptions only goes so far and ours doesn't stretch to Champions Online...sorry.
'I hate flying' by Burro Submitted on 2009-09-03 19:49:14 CST Flying is stupid, it's going to make the 1-60 world suck, and that's the only good part of WoW.
'What in the punchbowl?' by Julie Submitted on 2009-09-03 21:09:10 CST I am sorry that Activision/Blizzard pooped in your particular punch bowl. As for me and my family the first time we could ever fly under our own control we were simply delighted - I will just bet many other people feel the same way as well.
Will it make the "old world" a bit smaller?
Perhaps...
..but its pretty much a graveyard now as it is.
'Off topic' by Seritaph Submitted on 2009-09-04 20:16:28 CST This has nothing to do with the show, but if I recall you're both Star Trek fans who've shown an interested in Star Trek Online. I just wanted to tell you I've read today that beta applications are now being accepted.
'Thanks' by Julie Submitted on 2009-09-04 21:22:19 CST @ Seritaph: Thanks for looking out for us friend. We are indeed big star trek fans. I went over there just now and filled out a beta application - hopefully we can get in on it.
As you recall I was so happy that Cryptic saved Star Trek Online that I offered to kiss the butt of one of the devs for saving it on an earlier show.

'star trek' by Token Submitted on 2009-09-04 22:22:57 CST Yeah it's good they picked the game up but to be honest we all know cryptic are making the wrong game. Nobody wants tall ship combat and silly rpg away missions. We all want a game centred around the crew, interactions and the thrill of being on board a starship during a battle.
'I beg to differ' by Julie Submitted on 2009-09-04 23:21:53 CST @ Token: Well actually I WOULD enjoy ship to ship combat and away RPG missions. It sounds fun.

'aha' by Token Submitted on 2009-09-05 01:17:20 CST Great! I look forward to your glowing reviews of STO ! :D
'No Prisoners, No Mercy' by Julie Submitted on 2009-09-08 21:12:02 CST Don't look for glowing reviews before the beta is out (which we may or may not even get invited to). We at No Prisoners, No Mercy take NDA VERY seriously.
However, when they do come out you will be able to see them at the new web site that was so kindly prepared for us by the owner of www.lorewriter.com
That site is:
(wait for the applause)
www.noprisonersnomercy.com
Which is now up and active. You will still see my articles and our shows here of course. Look for daily updates and posts on the other site.

'Sorry for the delay' by Julie Submitted on 2009-09-14 14:31:29 CST Good Morning Friends.
Show 44 has been uploaded finally and will be available when the webmaster has time to post it. The delay was due to technical difficulties (that will teach us to check the settings ahead of time) with one of the interviews that required ALOT of editing to make it right again. This week we have guest two guests, short shorts, mad as hell, high noon and more.
