Hot off the tail of our Bioware interview last time on Limited Edition we are joined by Michael Zenke from Massively, MMOGNation and also part of the VirginWorlds Collective to discuss DC Universe Online. We invited Michael to join us as the content on DCUO from massively has been outstanding and we could think of no-one more qualified to do it justice.

The added bonus that comes with Michael is that he loves comic books. We chat about what we have been playing, reading, cartoons and the end of Tabula Rasa.

Another show filled with interesting ideas and facts.

The DCUO information was solids and gave a nice introduction to those of us that haven't the time to read up on the latest news.

At the very least they'll leave it on a server and let it run. Hell, even MxO still runs and has a very active community and great developing storyline.

Anyway, DCUO? YES. Can you say "Pay for the client and get the sub as part of the Station Access and get happy and stuff?"

Great show man. You still have a lil bit of that strange accent though.

...buying comics, for me, got to be ridiculous.

I am not saying they are not worth it, but printing costs have only gotten cheaper (not for the "fancier" books like graphic novels) but the costs just keep going up. I cannot stomach paying 3 bucks or something for a basic comic. 15 bucks for a graphic novel, or more and you got me looking at it like it is not worth it.

Also, comics are not what they used to be: they are common and everywhere, just like MMO's are. There are a million of them out there, so for 4.50 you better have a great comic instead of more muscle bound big boobed crap.

Having said all that, I love so many of the indie comics, and got a few like Blankets or stuff like that.

Thanks for reminding us about mmog nation podcast and yeah the Shadowrun one should be awesome, going to listing to it,

Iit can be allot of money when you are trying to read a particular series especially maybe new ones.

What I do with buying comics is I read what ever is cheap at the time, like the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series(Dark Horse Comics) most are less then $3 a piece from TFAW.COM right now, well you can't get every one of them but allot, there are I guess 83 in the series. I have #83 () and 1 to #16 so far. Then they gave me free shipping over $30 last time too.

Btw Buffy is also sold from tfaw.com to anyone who is interested, they sell most comics cheap, so I'm not sure if anyone knows about them but imo they are pretty good.

I agree that it would be nice to see TR servive with some other company, but NCSoft would be embarased to see it be succesful under someone else, they are a great team of devs for TR but something was holding them back imo, all earth seemd to be was some broken city zone, not a living breathing world like and mmo imo should be, they were rushed or something, something was wrong, and I reallu don't think it was the devs fault, I dough any mmo that North America and Europe woud like will be coming out of NCSoft for a long time.

Hey gang, good having a bit of a back and forth with you John. Fantastic show. I started worrying that I was coming off a stalker, but that's my own paranoia. Anyway, looking forward to future eps,

Anyway, in regards to DCUO, even tho I've kind of left the DC-verse in favor of Marvel, I fear that when I start playing the DC game it's going to bring me back into buying more DC books. Agh, my wallet. Still I get a few DC published books or rather their sister universes---Vertigo and Wildstorm. Mainly Ex Machina and the American Splendor minis.

As far as Champions, it also interests me, but I'm on a more wait and see for that one.

All this talk of CoX has me thinking of jumping back in, tho I think it stinks that I couldn't play with you guys since they keep the EU and US servers seperate. Or am I wrong?

Anyway, hope to chat with you and the LE gang in the future,

I found out about the new FarScape comic, it "Continues right where the Peacekeeper Wars left off"

I had the name FarScape in EVE because I loved the FarScape series and watched them all.

Although as a note my name FarSpace comes from me being kinda Far-Out and I love Sci-Fi so FarSpace is my online internet name. Hahaha

P.S. Paradiso, that happens to me if I refresh the page after making a comment, no worries it happens to everyone, it's like an initiation :)
