'Love the Commentary' by Jaxom92

Just wanted to say I greatly appreciate the commentary you threw in about Book 13. I have to admit I didn't really listen much when you were just going over the release notes, features, etc. I follow this game fairly religiously, so it was just going over info I already knew.

I'd love to see the future of this podcast continue with the commentary style. It's not bad having feature overviews and such, but the reason I listen to podcasts is to hear what the hosts have to say. The rest of the info I can get in a much more efficient fashion on the official site, etc.

So, keep up the awesome commentary that you put into this episode! It's the best one yet.

'Opposite Opinion of Forochel update' by jingeman

After listening to your recent podcast on Book 13 and Forochel, it is almost like I got a completely different update. You complain about the patch looking like it was rushed with several bugs in quests. I thought this patch was the best one so far. I have completed most every quest now in Forochel and only remember one non-completable bugged quest (the fish bucket one). I love the new terrain, with monsters feeling more spread out then in the Misty Mountains. I don't feel the travel time is any worse then in Misty Mountains, where you are frequently sent back and forth to Rivendel from points far and wide, winding around twisted mountain travel routes. The only exception is if you are a hunter, you will find no campfires in Forochel that you can bind to so travel may seem more tedious then other zones. There are far more soloable quests and earning reputation alongside completing quests saves a lot of rep grinding later. The rewards that can be purchased with proper rep also look very interesting. There are at least two new monster types (which I guess you found some way to miss) such as the "energy" glowing thingies and the Ice Giants, besides new versions of all the regular ones (with, need I say more then a few, trophies to compete for hook space in your house). Some of the quest rewards I find far superior to those in Misty Mountains (such as the epic 2-handed weapon from the dourhand dwarf chain).

Of course besides the new zone, this patch also brought an overhaul of the fellowship/questing interface, making it a lot easier to match up quests that fellow fellowship members have. It also saw the overhaul of the crafting items needed for critical recipes, as you mention in the podcast. The patch also sees some changes in the Annuminas area, which our kinship finally started doing the daily rep quests there. And then there is fishing. What need I say but do we really need that many more trophies?

I guess each person looks for different things in an update, but I think we got our money's worth with this one.

Some parts of the update, I didn't discuss because I'd talked about them in Episode 20. But you're right, there was more to the update than just what I went over.

Thanks for sharing... your views look much more objective than mine! :)

Before doing book 13, make sure you do the quest The Frozen War to get the swift horse between Suri-Kyla and Kuru-Lerie. It makes it go by much quicker!
