'After so many years...' by Epicsound Submitted on 2009-05-31 06:57:57 CST I've been playing since launch and I finally got hacked. I left WOW for a few months just to take a break and got an email from Blizzard saying
Hello QQ,
Your account has been moved to a Battle.net account and your password has been changed. My name isn't QQ as you probably can imagine. It seems that since accounts have been rolling into Battle.net, accounts have been hacked like crazy. I have 2 max level characters on that account. No response from Blizzard yet. My password was NEVER given out EVER! and it would be near to impossible for someone to figure out.
I was going to start playing again this weekend but it looks like from what I hear Blizzard isn't really doing much to help those who are saying they got hacked by people rolling their accounts into Battle.net accounts.
Since I haven't been in game for the past few months, have you hear of this being a common way for people to steal your account? How is it even possible that someone could figure out a password that is so cryptic? I don't have any keyloggers and even my wife doesn't know my password. Seems so strange.
'Sorry' by LealaTurkey Submitted on 2009-06-01 03:54:01 CST No I haven't heard of anything like that happening. But Blizzard does normally seem decent about helping people who've had hacked accounts so just be patient and keep trying.
