'Shut Up. I'm Listening.' by robg Submitted on 2007-05-28 08:51:57 CST Great First Show. You two are a good match. It was fun to listen to. Good music and content. Nice outtakes at the end. I look forward to the next show.
'Great Start!' by zentr Submitted on 2007-05-28 13:15:49 CST Just got done listening; great first show! A good measure of substance and fairly entertaining delivery. I think your niche will be welcome with the MMO podcast listeners. Also, I liked the intro and outro music. What is it?

'Thanks guys!' by Cuppycake Submitted on 2007-05-28 13:19:37 CST Thanks for the compliments so far! =) I'm glad people are liking it so far!
The intro music is a Korn song, that's really all I know =) Darren or Brent will have to fill in the blanks =)
'Great' by ErMurazor Submitted on 2007-05-28 16:15:59 CST Great first show keep up the good work. Please do upload the shows to iTunes also.

Looking forward to the next one. Well done!!
'yay' by Bman Submitted on 2007-05-28 23:43:37 CST Great job on the podcast, guys. Exactly the kind of show I was looking forward to. :)
'zentr: song info' by Akely Submitted on 2007-05-29 05:16:45 CST The song is "Y'All Want A Single" and the band is endeed Korn. It is taken from the album "Take a Look in the Mirror"
I think the version is the edited version. ;-) PG, anyone?
And I'll again state my pinion that a "songs played" list should be put in every podcast shownotes. I love music and hearing new stuff i then can't find is making me go (more) crazy.
'Oh, forgot.' by Akely Submitted on 2007-05-29 05:21:43 CST Really liked the show. Can't wait for the questions. Sounds like a fine idea to turn a lot of stones on a subject. Only... I'm no blogger and wil not start (for lots of reasons). Could you find a way for non-bloggers to contribute?
'Send an email' by darrenl Submitted on 2007-05-29 07:33:39 CST If you want to contribute to the show Akely, send myself or Cuppy an email and we'll address it as best we can.

'Good stuff !' by twistah Submitted on 2007-05-29 08:58:23 CST I really enjoyed the show. Good job. Sound is good too. The only thing I noticed that is a bit annoying is that one of you guys hits the microphone pretty often. Not a big deal really, but easily fixed.
Keep it up ! :)
'Hitting the microphone' by Cuppycake Submitted on 2007-05-29 09:49:44 CST Yeah, the noise that sounds like someone hitting the mic was me. I wasn't hitting the mic though, I think I was bouncing in my chair or something. I'll do away with that by next time. =)
'Bouncy' by darrenl Submitted on 2007-05-29 09:52:14 CST ...yes, Cuppy gets very excited when she's talking with me over Skype.
Yyyyyup...can't be helped.

'Great show' by Fraeon Submitted on 2007-06-01 09:48:58 CST Loved the show. Just one thing irked me aside from the microphone hitting and it was the music. The interludes with the music were a bit too long -- sort of was wondering when the show'd continue. (Might also be that I didn't care much for the music either)
But anyhow, just the thing I need. Subscribed!
'Really njoyed it! And the musical interludes were nice. ' by coppertopper Submitted on 2007-06-04 23:07:34 CST ...so I bought EQ2 tonite due to your podcast! I too hate being like everyone else. 'You say you don't want WoW numbers.' by tdous Submitted on 2007-06-05 02:21:53 CST Does that apply to your podcast listenership as well as EQ 2 subscriptions?
Based on a number of comments made throughout this show it's fairly obvious that you don't like World of Warcraft and don't seem to think much of its players. I am officially rubberstamping myself as a lucid, compassionate and intelligent person who plays with plenty of similar people and has fun within that game. I do not troll forums, berate "noobs", espouse elitistism or criticise the playing habits of others via blanket statements.
So, the show was a good first effort. The quality was pretty good with good balance of topics. Just perhaps a little alienating in places for those of us who play ... that game, don't want to switch to EQ 2, but would like to listen to another MMO podcast. I am of course open to being told by other WoW player listeners that they didn't feel this.
'...' by tdous Submitted on 2007-06-05 02:23:17 CST That's "elitism".. obviously :)
'WoW' by Cuppycake Submitted on 2007-06-05 02:37:14 CST Tdous -
In reply, I hope you didn't take us seriously about being anti-WoW or anything. I still have subscription in the game, I think its a fantastic game and have lots of friends who play it. I'd probably still be playing it if I had time for more than one MMO.
We were poking fun at the community in WoW as others have done and others will do. No, I don't think every gamer that plays WoW is like that. My entire WoW guild (that I'm still a part of) is filled with awesome gamers who are skilled, respectful and know their stuff. I'm sorry that we came across as not liking WoW...I actually enjoyed the game while I played quite a lot.
Thank you for the comments, and personally I will do my best to not attempt to alienate players in other games. Sorry about the way it may have come across. =/
'WoW-ish' by darrenl Submitted on 2007-06-05 07:32:12 CST Do I like WoW? Yes.
Do I think it's better than EQ2? Maybe
Do I think Blizz is developing the game correctly? No
Do I like the WoW Community? No
Do I think the majority of the WoW Community are whining turds with no sense of common manners? No
Do I think there is a group of great people in WoW who are fun to play with? Yes
Will we continue to criticize WoW? Yes
Will we continue to criticize idiot players in WoW? Yes
Are you one of those idiot players?
...hope this clears it alllll up for ya.
'Insert Answer' by darrenl Submitted on 2007-06-05 07:35:14 CST Insert your own answer for the last question.
Just because we criticize WoW or a certain population of WoW players does not mean we're criticizing you as a WoW player.
All apples are fruit but not all fruit are apples...get my meaning?
:)
'I see what you are saying.' by Dathmar Submitted on 2007-06-05 10:53:27 CST I personally didn't think you were hitting on the average WOW player....and I am certainly average in almost all departments !!
;)
I sait as you were just pointing out that there are more idiot MMO players in WOW than in some other games (eg EQ2)
I guess its sheer numbers playing WOW and that the game is very easy to get into.
I have seen the same sort of idiots in (OOC / Region Chat)-
EQ2 (rarely)
LOTRO (more common - but not as much as WOW)
Vanguard (beta only) - (loads - almost as much as WOW)
SOR (Yes - they have them too - but I guess these are trail accounts)
EVE Online (rarely)
Guild Wars (well they can try but are swamped with Guild / Trade requests...so you never see it)
Nice show by the way...keep up the good work you two !

'WoW Players' by Eli Submitted on 2007-06-05 14:57:23 CST Gosh, think WoW players are too sensitive much? It's true though, all games have the same idiot players, there is no difference or special kind of idiot confined to any one game, as far as I've ever seen. Culures and *majorities* change, but, to quote Texas Chain Saw Massacre 2: "It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent's Fritters," and you see all kinds. Maybe Ryzom could be an exception. Anyone else play that before?
'ryzom' by Cuppycake Submitted on 2007-06-05 15:02:48 CST I know that Brent plays Ryzom. He's the only one that I know of who does...I might give it another try though.
'Ryzom again' by Eli Submitted on 2007-06-05 15:05:48 CST I actually just re-upped for a month, last week, but that's all I can take at any one time anyway. I love that game, but it's just not a full-time thing because I'm not a huge role player, nor a big grinder, but I am so drawn to the amazing systems and visuals of the game. I go there every now and again just to get a reminder that games can be cool and different.
