'Great show' by Syncaine Submitted on 2007-11-13 16:54:28 CST Finally another show...
Thanks for the blog link.
One thing that was interesting in the show, that I really think is an underrated possibility is that AoC might ONLY appeal to the kiddies, and hence at launch have a really awful community. It's surprising that the game is as close to release as it is and you hardly read anything about it... not a good sign.
'How MMOs have changed me in RL..' by brackishwater Submitted on 2007-11-14 15:43:32 CST @ Craig - Well you definitely don't write like an introvert but I'm glad that games like these have done what you said they have.
While I am not finished with the show yet, I think this is a really great topic and one I'll be thinking about the rest of the night. I'd like to think they have made me more social but overall I'd have to say that MMOs have taught me that, while at times I enjoy the responsibility of leading and directing others, there are just some times that I would rather enjoy the company of others. By this I mean, the objectives in game should not and do not overshadow the fun that comes with playing with other people.
It may be important to me for my son to learn to read really soon, but I'm not going to stress about getting there and rather just enjoy the fact he still calls a F an E.
'Thanks' by Oakstout Submitted on 2007-11-19 13:22:45 CST I just finished listening to ep 12. I really appreciate the discussion about my topic "Easy is a four letter word". It was nice for a change to hear people on the show not bash a game because its easy. Thanks Darren.
