It's like my two favorite VW shows in one. It's like a Reeces cup!

YOU GOT YOUR WHITE FEATHER IN MY D.LOVE!

Darren, I've suffered with anxiety for years and i have two words of advice for you:

1) Buy the book "Don't Panic" by Reid Wilson. Great Resource: http://www.amazon.com/Dont-Panic-Revised-Control-Anxiety/dp/0060951605

2) Continue to pray and meditate. It works for me too.

Also, since you brought up the subject, thanks for talking about your spiritual journey. I had a very similar thing happen to me when I was about 24. It was about that time I began to become receptive to the truth of God and I started to see a different side of life.

Long story short I became a Christian and I've never looked back. I know this: I can't prove God but I can live my life through him. Also, you can't simply find God but you can search for him. Even Paul says you should work out your faith with fear and tremembling. That to me says that if you're sincear about your spiritual journey it won't be easy.

Good luck, Darren.

...thanks for the words of encouragement, sir.

I'll take a look at that book you mentioned. I actually have a couple on order at the moment from Claire Weekes who apparently is just excellent as well.

Great show as always. I have to say, I second CheckSix there, and say thank you for sharing.I've definitely found a new blog to check regularly.

Here's a couple of other books I think you will enjoy, and ones that I know really helped put a lot of thing in perspective for me:

The first is "Blue Like Jazz" by Donald Miller. This is by far one of my favorite books of all time, and one I suggest anyone who has ever questioned their faith or spirituality to read.

The second is "Velvet Elvis" by Rob Bell. This book really helps break down Christianity to it's basic levels and explains things, instead of just throwing a "This is the way it is" in your face. Rob even encourages the readers to make their own decisions on things, and not just blatantly trust what one source tells you. I like his honesty.

I'll end with a second echo of CheckSix: It's like my two favorite VW shows in one. What more could a listener ask for? I look forward to 74!

I was drunk and pissed off that there aren't any good MMOs these days. I spend all my time going back to the old MMOs I used to play and then quitting straight after cause I realise why I left again.

Playing EQ2 again I found out that they've made it easier than WoW. In WoW at least I can die from PVE, in EQ2 I can just pull and pull and never feel challenged anymore. Also what have they done to crafting? It is so dumbed down now. I only quit because WoW killed it by December 2004 and I couldn't find groups for anything. However in beta when I could find groups the content was so much fun and I loved how it was basically forced grouping back then. I think most people quit though because all the zones after the starter cities but CL were so boring to play through.

What they needed to do with EQ2 is merge every server into one because how the game is setup it clones the zones over and over. It makes no sense to split everyone up with the low population it has. SOE made another retarded move by having the new endless free trial thing to have it's own servers, making sure the old ones never get new people again.

I was in Warhammer online's closed beta from the start and straight away you could tell it was going to fail. The combat wasn't fun and didn't feel any where near as good as how WoW has done it. The engine just felt very old and clunky and when something so core to the game feels bad it can't ever recover. Getting on one of those cold one dino mounts was meant to be a special moment, instead they felt stiff and looked really poor. Things like the world not feeling like a world, but rather a series of game maps put a downer on things. Splitting up everyone into tiers of their own with only two cities to raid made no sense because most of the "world" was just dead. It didn't feel like Warhammer, where was the gore? It looked more like Warcraft meets Disney.

Paul was saying how the Squig herder would bash the little squig over the head several times until it swallows you and then you control it with it's own guts. However come the animation none of that happened and it just appeared out of nowhere lol. That speaks volumes of how bad the animations were.

The classes all felt the same within their own archetypes, you might as well have had 4 classes and called it that. None of them were fun to play, they all felt very generic and just really boring.

The lore was nowhere to be seen, I didn't have any desire to explore because the whole world was dead and so generic, like I said it didn't feel like Warhammer.

The only thing I did have fun in was the RVR keep PVP stuff in Tier 4. It was so amazing fighting with hundreds of other people over one keep. One battle went on all weekend for one keep in beta and it was such a laugh. However come launch Scenarios came in and everyone just played in those and RVR was dead. So what was the point in playing?

I'm a one trick pony, don't like any MMO out there and haven't done since SWG was ruined in 2005 by the CU and NGE. WoW was ruined in 2005 by Battlegrounds, they killed the one thing I loved about that game, the world PVP. Planetside was ruined in 2003 by an expansion that was released 3 months after launch and had 2 weeks of testing. Then finally killed off by BFRs, so SOE left it 4 dead. EQ2 was ruined by being dumbed down over the years and made easier than WoW. EQ was ruined by PoP and Luclin... etc etc.

No good MMOs these days.
