The final recording for SUWT.
We get a whole bunch of people on and just shoot the shit about almost everything.
I can say enough about what an adventure it has been over the last 4-5 years.
The memories are priceless, the friendships...even more so.
Thanks to you all.

Its pretty sad to see this go. SUWT was pretty good at getting new voices out there. I also felt like the show turned a corner recently, becoming more self aware and more enjoyable. Podcasts always seem to end in 2's and 3's, Randy Jordon is leaving the instance next week, Scott reckons he's got a viable replacement but unless they invented cloning technology I don't see how thats possible.
I'd really like to see you folk hook up with Gamebreaker.tv, it sounds like he's expanding rapidly this year, some of you are probably already doing that.

Enjoyed the show!
Karen you should do more podcast with No Prisoners No Mercy. You ladies have a good chemistry I think. Not because you are all female but because each of ya has a different view of games.

There any other general MMO podcasts to listen to? Massively has too many interview I could care less about as I just want to hear opinions of MMOs and cool info.
Sorry to see the podcast go even though I hate MMOs these days lol.

It was a distinct pleasure and an honor to be included in the cast of the last show - Fran and I had a wonderful time and will miss the show. We tried to convince Darren to stay but to no avail.
@ Celestian - now that you mention it, show number 79 (already recorded and almost finished with editing) does indeed have Karen on it as well as Saylah and Tipa.

First Spouse Aggro. Now SUWT. Who's next?
Seriously, I've loved listening to the show and have been glad to contributing this past year via commenting. I look forward to hearing you elsewhere, Karen at Massively and Darren where ever you might end up.

D,
Thank you so much for enabling me to become a part of this and letting me find out just how horrible I sound. This was one of my favorite podcasts and its sad to see you give up something that was working so well.
Best of luck to you and Karen in whatever you may roam.
See you in Rift,

It really feels like the whole MMO scene is coming to an end for us "veterans" of the genre. Just the whole geekiness of it and how hardcore in nature they have been in the past but also the social aspects of what we want out of it. Just seems to be getting replaced by action, less talking and getting everything right away. The best example is having to spend months getting a Jedi in SWG Pre CU, where now a game like that couldn't be released and you have to be able to play from the start ike SWTOR.
Just sad and I miss all the MMO podcasts I used to listen to. This really was the last place I could come and it seems like Virgin Worlds has lost a lot of steam over the past year. I just have to wonder is that because of the state of the genre? Or have we been playing for such a long time we've come to the point where we want to do something else with our lives.
I play Project 1999, SWGEmu and a Pre BC WoW Emu called Feenix which you peeps should all check out. I much prefer these Emulators over the current versions on live because they offer what I want from an MMO, where the live servers have been dumbed down. Even the new EQ progression server isn't the classic game I wanted because it's keeping all the new redesigned zones and lots of todays game mechanics as they weren't locked to an expansion.
As for Rift, I played five mins and became bored because it felt like every MMO that has come out since WoW. I dunno why I got caught up in the hype and purchased it to get into beta... happens to me every time and I'm always let down. I then spoke to a friend and it turns out he tried it and had the same experience. I think the game will fail like WAR and LOTRO because they're just poor copies and a much better game which everyone is already bored of. The next big MMO is one to just do something different but still designed with common sense so all the mechanics are fun and actually make sense. I just think SWTOR will pull it off because even if it sucks as an MMO, there will still be a great KOTOR game that we can play with our friends.

I just wanted to thank all of you for putting out a great show for so long. I will miss listening to you guys even though I have not played a MMO in months. I want to thank you again Darren for spot lighting my blog.
As with everything in life things change, I wish you all the best in your future projects.
