Quiet week, huh?
So, yeah, there was a tiny bit of shouting this week after an interview with some members of the Guild Wars 2 team from Gamescom went up on teh Intrawebz. Before I get into analyzing what was discussed, let's talk a little bit about the interview itself.
Lichdom: Battlemage is one hell of a cool idea from Xaviant. Remember Hexen, the first-person shooter where you played a mage instead of some gun-toting action hero? That's the idea behind Lichdom, and for the most part Xaviant takes the idea in the right direction delivering a competent, if not fully-realized Action RPG. Read on for our full review.
This week we wrap up our look at each of the factions of Behaviour's Eternal Crusade with the Emperor's chosen, the Space Marines. I've always been a big fan of racing games. I'm terrible at them, but I love them. They allow me to play against other people competitively while not having to worry about disappointing super competitive, hardcore players who might be my teammates. If you went to any ESO related community forums prior to launch you'd see a common topic being discussed, Will ESO go Free to Play? This topic sparked some of the largest debates I've seen in the MMORPG community. However, after discussions comparing the pros and cons of the F2P model, the majority of the Elder Scrolls Online community did not want the F2P model. They wanted ESO to be a subscription based game.

The Infinity Engine was the base of classics RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, and with Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian hopes to recapture the make of that golden era. But is there such a thing as going too old school with your design? Read on for our preview.
