The new store exclusive steed for the month of May is Obsidian Steed. This steed appeared in the store starting on May 1st and will be available in the LOTRO Store through May 31st.
We were all saddened by the story of the bombing attacks on the Boston Marathon earlier this month. Turbine, who produces LOTRO for us, is actually located in the Boston area and so this is something that happened in their back yard.
Sapience mentioned last weekend that the festival will be extended. Today logging in I saw the loading screen showing the actual date.

The official patch notes for today’s update have been released. This is a small update to fix several server and gameplay issues. In a nice treat though, there are a number of new rewards that are also being added to the Anniversary Festival as well.

Last month LOTRO announced the details an open applications for the first player council. The council is to act as direct player feedback and comments on game ideas to Turbine for one calendar year.
