Early Access Packages Detailed

3000 A.D. has announced that early access packages for its forthcoming game, Line of Defense, are now available via Steam. Players can purchase LoD in one of three different tiers: Commander ($99.99), Ambassador ($69.99) and Emissary ($39.99). Each package will contain a series of in-game rewards as well.

WildStar players have long voiced concern over the difficult task to enter Veteran raids. In a new update, the WildStar team has detailed changes to the attunement system and announced that the requirement for Veteran raids has been lowered to bronze.

Arena.Net's Colin Johanson has taken to the Guild Wars 2 forums to talk with players about concerns and misconceptions that are being discussed regarding this week's "quality of life" update, most specifically about the new player experience. In the post, Johanson acknowledges some oversights and bugs that are currently being ironed out, and addresses the notion that the new player experience is properly designed to give new players a good sense of progression and reward.

ESO Live! Live Stream Set to Debut Tomorrow

The Elder Scrolls Online team has posted on the game's Facebook page that a new weekly live stream show called ESO Live! will officially kick off on Friday, September 12th on Twitch.tv. The show will feature chats with developers, fans and players and will cover a wide variety of topics. You can check out the first episode tomorrow at the times listed below.




Latest Letter from the Producer Live Digest Published

The Final Fantasy XIV forum has been updated with the digest version from the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE that took place earlier this month. Among other things, Yoshi-P answered questions regarding time consuming systems, whether or not more information is ready to be revealed about a new race and if there are plans for more cross-game collaboration events.

Season Pass and Pre-Seeding Info

Gearbox and 2K announced they plan to release four add-on packs for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for $29.99. This Season Pass gives PC, PSN and Xbox LIVE players all four packs. Shock Drop Slaughter Pit bonus content is not part of the Season Pass, but gamers can get it by pre-ordering Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition Preorders Begin

Beamdog has announced that preorders for Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition have officially kicked off. Fans can preorder the game for $20, though no release date has yet been revealed. Beamdog is the same team that brought enhanced editions of both Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2 to PC, Mac and mobile devices over the past year.

Game developers like torturing people. Or at least they seemed to enjoy doing it more often back in the 80s, when a game over meant something. The development of the new modernized and expanded version of the adventure-RPG Shadowgate keeps all of this in mind. Trion is taking on Minecraft and SoE's Landmark with their own brand of sandbox cuteness with Trove, a voxel building multiplayer, online sandbox MMORPG. Graphically more akin to Minecraft than Landmark, Trove provides a different color of sandbox for players that enjoy the building game with some fighting, collecting and crafting thrown in for the fun of it. We got some time with the title at PAX to discuss the recent additions and upcoming closed beta.

Nightmare Tide PAX Preview

RIFT remains a very solid MMO for Trion. The game launched back in 2011 and continues to hold a captive audience. It added a free to play model back in 2013 and is now adding a second expansion. The team at Trion gave us a deep look at Nightmare Tide with some of the playable puzzles and zones in the game. It adds a heavy use of underwater mechanics which was not there before. The demo really surprised us and RIFT players have a lot to look forward to in Nightmare Tide.
